Nervous System Skills Online Introductory 6-Week Series

With somatic neuro-fitness, it takes several weeks of consistent and curious somatic (voluntary, cortical) practice to shift the underlying default mode in the autonomic nervous system (involuntary, sub-cortical). After that, these skills are like brushing your teeth. If you take a few minutes to wipe away stress on the regular, it's less likely to cause other problems.

Nervous System Skills Intro Series

A 6-Week Somatic Reset for Sensitized Nervous Systems

Nervous System Skills is a live, small-group, neuro-fitness–informed somatic yoga program designed for people living with hypermobility spectrum disorders (HSD), dysautonomia, migraine, chronic pain, and nervous system sensitization.

This introductory series provides the foundational skills, context, and support needed to continue safely into ongoing Nervous System Skills classes or related somatic and yoga offerings.

Who This Series Is For

This series is especially supportive for people who:

  • experience fluctuating symptoms, fatigue, dizziness, pain, or sensory sensitivity

  • feel overwhelmed by traditional exercise, yoga, or rehab environments

  • want to understand why their body responds the way it does

  • are curious about nervous system regulation without force, fixing, or performance

No prior somatic experience is required.

What the Work Is Like

Nervous System Skills uses slow, intentional, and specific practices that support nervous system learning rather than pushing or stretching.

The work may feel subtle, unfamiliar, or surprisingly demanding at times. This is normal.
Learning new neuro-fitness skills requires energy, attention, and rest.

Progress happens through consistency, curiosity, and choice—not through effort or endurance.

What to Expect From the Work

While individual experiences vary, participants often report:

  • decreased frequency or intensity of flare-ups over time

  • improved energy management and pacing

  • increased comfort, coordination, and functional range

  • a wider window of tolerance for daily life

  • clearer communication and more compassionate relationships

  • greater trust in their body’s signals and limits

This work supports learning and capacity-building.
It does not promise outcomes or replace medical care.

Nervous System Skills is offered using a supported sliding-scale model to keep the work accessible while sustaining the program and our non-profit.

Choose the rate that best reflects your current capacity:

We look forward to seeing you in this online series!

This is neuro-fitness, NOT high-load, fast-paced or complex physical fitness. Practices can be modified for any individual, and are well-suited to people managing chronic pain, as well as nervous system and connective tissue disorders.

Bonus: We heal and learn in community….
