Class #5: Beginning SomaYoga Series

Class Focus: Progress Responsibly Creating Core Awareness

What You Will Learn:

  • Respiratory and Pelvic Floor Diaphragm

  • Connection between the two

The Beginning SomaYoga series will introduce you to somatic yoga through the principles of learning to pay attention, building better habits, progressing well – progressing compassionately, and staying current & enjoying your freedom.

This fifth week we bring our focus to the core and pelvic floor in various classic poses. You will experience the feeling of core breathing, find comfort laying on the floor, and explore another foundational movement of Somatics: Diagonal Arch and Curl.

Mindful somatic movements will be explored for mobility, along with tree pose and the stabilizing movement of chair pose.. We invite you into this practice that encourages finding the ‘just right’ movement and posture for your unique body, and personal freedom and agency is the exploration – which is fundamental for therapeutic benefit.

***You don’t need to have attended prior classes to register for this class.
