The Beginning SomaYoga series will introduce you to somatic yoga through the principles of learning to pay attention, building better habits, progressing well – progressing compassionately, and staying current & enjoying your freedom.
This eighth week we bring our focus to seated practices and the various benefits of bringing a chair into practice. You will experience the feeling of core breathing, find comfort laying on the floor, and explore another foundational movement of SomaYoga: Spinal Spiffy.
Mindful somatic movements will be explored for mobility, along with thread the needle, pyramid pose and revolved pyramid. We invite you into this practice that encourages finding the ‘just right’ movement and posture for your unique body, and personal freedom and agency is the exploration – which is fundamental for therapeutic benefit.
