Class Focus: Stay Current with Mobility-Stability-Strength
What You Will Learn:
Effortless Effort and the idea of Mobility-Stability-Strength
Therapeutic Spinal Strip with blanket & variations
The Beginning SomaYoga series will introduce you to somatic yoga through the principles of learning to pay attention, building better habits, progressing well – progressing compassionately, and staying current & enjoying your freedom.
This sixth week we bring our focus to new therapeutic props and variations, as well as integration of movement and stillness. You will experience the feeling of core breathing, find comfort laying on the floor, and explore another foundational movement of Somatics: Washcloth
Mindful somatic movements will be explored for mobility, along with specific techniques for building strength and stabilizing the body after movement. We invite you into this practice that encourages finding the ‘just right’ movement and posture for your unique body, and personal freedom and agency is the exploration – which is fundamental for therapeutic benefit.
