Leanne Widen

Leanne began her yoga journey at the age of 50 - 7 years after overcoming breast cancer! Using breath and movement, she found a dramatic impact in nurturing her body, mind and soul. Until then, she was full of panic, worry and often in a state of feeling anxious.

While on a yoga retreat in the Sacred Valley of Peru, she wondered if she had what it takes to become a yoga teacher? Upon her return, she followed her heart and received her 200-hour certification.

Through the practice of yoga, she was able to reconnect to the same body that had betrayed her years ago.

Leanne loves yoga and its unique ability to meet her where she is and allow her to be present in her body. It is her intention when she teaches to guide students to explore breath and movement in a way that can help any body thrive. She strives to teach with an upbeat, patient manner that anyone can follow, and she hopes to encourage students to embrace life both on and off the mat.

When Leanne is not on the mat or traveling, she spends part of the year in Scottsdale, AZ with her husband. (Maybe you can guess what part of the year?)  The remainder of the time, they reside in Wisconsin, where she enjoys family, lifelong friendships & outdoor activity. The biggest delight of her life is spending time with her five grandchildren.
