From the innovative curriculum coined by Yoga North International SomaYoga Institute, SomaYoga Institute of Wisconsin brings forth its own program as a nationally-recognized Registered Yoga School. The upcoming program is for those who have completed a 200-hour program at Yoga North ISYI or another qualified yoga school and have maintained at least one year of yoga teaching.

500-Hour Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training / Level 1 Yoga Therapy Training
*The yoga therapy components of this certification is based on an accreditation through the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT), not derived from our status as a Registered Yoga School with the Yoga Alliance Registry. -
Hybrid consisting of intensive weekends, one per month and some online, with additional home study, plus practicum work and a mentorship program on-site.

Some requirements (like 1:1 practicum work and select intensive weekends) take place in Oregon, Wisconsin. Students worldwide are welcome to apply.

The Spiritual Life Society
Chairman of SLS and co-founder of Main Street Yoga, Matt Lerner is a direct disciple of Swami Rama and has studied in ashrams in the USA and India. Larry Terkel is the founder and president of the SLS. He studied with BKS Iyengar for over 20 years and spent a month with Swami Satchidananda in Sri Lanka. Together, they lead their very own accredited Yoga School.

*graduates will be eligible to register with YA and receive the RYT credential (Registered Yoga Teacher) -
Modular weekends totaling 160 hours + 40 additional hours at workshops/classes and/or independent study. Start whenever and can take as long as you need to finish!

Continuing Education
For Registered Yoga Teachers, we offer Yoga Alliance Continuing Education credits. Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT) are required to complete 30 hours of Continuing Education (CE) credits every 3 years. We have Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Providers (YACEP) that regularly offer programs for credit. Ask about our current offerings. More information about Yoga Alliance.
