Teacher Trainings

From the innovative curriculum coined by Yoga North International SomaYoga Institute, there’s now SomaYoga Teacher Trainings in Wisconsin! This nationally-recognized Registered Yoga School is bringing an upcoming training program for certified teachers to earn their 500-Hour Advanced Certification AND complete Level 1 Yoga Therapy training. Applicants must be certified yoga teachers through a 200-Hour program at Yoga North ISYI or another qualified yoga school and have maintained at least one year of yoga teaching.

Chairman of SLS and co-founder of Main Street Yoga, Matt Lerner is a direct disciple of Swami Rama and has studied in ashrams in the USA and India. Larry Terkel is the founder and president of the SLS. He studied with BKS Iyengar for over 20 years and spent a month with Swami Satchidananda in Sri Lanka. Together, they lead their very own accredited Yoga School, offering programs that deepen the mind, body and spirit connection.

Continuing Education

For Registered Yoga Teachers through Yoga Alliance, Main Street Yoga Center in Madison and SomaYoga Wisconsin both offer Yoga Alliance Continuing Education credits. Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT) are required to complete 30 hours of Continuing Education (CE) credits every 3 years.
