Alison (Ali) Zuba is a passionate embodiment guide, teacher and mentor in the Greater Madison, WI Area and online. With a decade of yoga education and training, her path led her to explore and fall in love with movement, meditation, and philosophy.

After working in business education and earning two business degrees (UW-Madison MBA 2016, UW-Eau Claire BBA 2008), she continued her educational pursuits down the path of Yoga.

She first studied with her teacher Alex Pfeiffer of 21st Century Yoga on the Mat-completing 300 hours of integral yoga training in 2018. Soon after, she received her 500-hour registered yoga teacher with Ann Maxwell and Molly McManus of Yoga North Duluth. Her passion for education and exploring led her to Yoga Therapist certification (1000+ hours) with the International SomaYoga Institute.

Navigating through years of study – alongside persistent pain, addiction, recovery, and loss – Yoga became the holistic balm that filled the empty spaces in her life. Becoming more alive, awake and aware through practice, Ali realized that her physical, mental, and spiritual connections led to a dramatic spike in emotional and energetic health. And while the external form of practice may have shifted – from hot fast vinyasa to slow intentional somatic movement – Ali has not given up on the discipline and devotion of practice.

"Despite life’s physical, mental, and emotional challenges, Yoga practice – in its many forms – fosters resilience and a spark for living." - Ali

Today, Ali blends her Hatha/Vinyasa background with Somatics, creating dynamic spaces for embodiment, empowerment, and self-realization. She teaches Hatha, Vinyasa, Yoga Nidra, and Therapeutic SomaYoga (Somatics + Yoga), leading classes and training groups, sharing her own embodied knowledge and yoga/meditation practices. She also works students one-on-one-all those willing to find peace inside, and pursue change for a greater good. She believes a regular practice encourages balance, builds strength, and greater mobility for navigating life’s inevitable twists and turns.

Moreover, Ali is the finance, marketing and operations director for Main Street Yoga locations in Wisconsin and Ohio. She serves on the Board of Advisors for the Spiritual Life Society (SLS), the nonprofit behind Main Street Yoga, whose mission is to promote self-discovery, growth and education for all, and healing, comfort and sustenance to those in need.
