Led by Yoga Therapist, Jennifer Anderson, you will draw on yogic psychology and the gunas (sattva, rajas, tamas) to strengthen self-awareness, understand internal patterns, and support nervous system regulation. Using the Window of Tolerance frameworkand a basic understanding of the autonomic nervous system, you’ll learn to recognize when your nervous system is dysregulated. You’ll also learn how to gently meet the current mood and return to a felt-sense of steadiness and ease.
Through guided practices including asana, breath, and meditation, you’ll gain a better understanding of your nervous system and how to adapt your yoga practice based on your current state of being. For example, you’ll learn when to deploy a more physically demanding asana practice, which asanas to emphasize or avoid, how breath can support your asana practice, and when to focus on more gentle movement.
The series invites you to create a personalized resilience plan that you can integrate into daily life.
What to expect from each session:
a combination of learning and practice
helpful resources and handouts to take with you
