Debra Ballweg

Deb’s passion is to share her love of yoga and its benefits with others as she has seen her life philosophy grow and change through the practice!

The classes that she teaches emphasize safe alignment while maintaining breath and balance; and are designed for all ages and body shapes.

The pace is determined by the class focus, the theme and the class makeup.

Yoga is as much about spirituality as it is about shaping your mind and body. It is not just physical movement, or even the mental acuity needed to accomplish fitness goals.

Deb’s students enjoy that she shares these facets of yoga: yogic philosophy, meditation and how to practice safely yet build strength and balance in their practice. She works to design a class in which there is not just one way to do a posture, but several so that all feel welcome.

When not teaching, Deb is spending time with her husband, Sid, their two daughters and five grandchildren. She loves to garden, read, and ride on the back of her husband’s motorcycle across the U.S. - taking my travel yoga mat with her.

She is a lifelong learner and so her personal journey continues through workshops, retreats and other professional development. She reached a personal milestone of 1675 hours of teaching - on her way to 2000 hours!!

In addition to being is a E-RYT® 200 (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher), Deb holds certifications in YACEP®  30-hour Yin Yoga, and 38-hour Accessible Yoga.
